My Playlist part 1: New Wave

Just recently this internet newbies of yours just discovered how to download rare songs of my youth and download it for my playlist. I thought I'll never be able to listen to my favorites again. But a good friend of mine told me to use YOUTUBE-mp3 converter. To my surprise and joy I can download all- yes all- songs I miss from the past. Songs that are part of my youth.

I love music. I love all kinds of music. From world beat, new wave, classics, ballads, lollipops, you name it I love it. But I am more into the old school rock music like Deep Purple, Van Halen and GnR. And I am more into New Wave like the Spandau Ballet, Duran Duran, Tears for Fears and Fra Lippo Lippi. In Youtube you will find all the songs you want. In fact I found my most favorite album which I thought I'll never hear it again - Parade by Spandau Ballet. Though I downloaded the whole album at Pirate Bay. I can say now that my collections is almost complete. But new songs  keep coming in my head. I don't think there will be an end on my list.

Here's a list of  bands and their songs of different genre that I like (in no particular order):

New Wave.

1. Tears for Fears
    a) Shout
    b) Advice For The Young At Heart
    c) Woman In Chains
    d) Head Over Heels

2. Duran Duran
     a) Ordinary World
     b) Come Undone
     c) New Moon on Monday
     d) The Reflex
     e) The Union Of The Snake
     f) View To A Kill

3. A-ha
     a) Take On Me
     b) Living Daylights
     c) The Sun Always Shine on TV
     d) Living A Boys Adventure Tale

4. Fra Lippo Lippi
     - I love all their songs. They're great song writers.

5. The Cure
    a) Lovesong
    b) Lullabye
    c) Boys Don't Cry

6. Spandu Ballet - all songs from the Parade album. This band symbolizes my youth.

7. The Police- all songs by Sting. I love to call my youngest child Sting.

*New wave songs that I love but I don't necessarily like the band.

             1. Time - OMD (too much techno)
             2. Drive - Cars (ugly)
             3. Don't You ( forget about me)- Simple Minds ( my favorite Karaoke and guitar piece but this is the
only song I like from the band.)
             4. Crazy and Electric Blue- Icehouse ( the only songs I like from their albums)
             5. Don't Dream It's Over - Crowded House (reasons the same as no. 3)
             6. Wishful Thinking - China Crisis ( too gay...but I'm NOT!)
             7. Beds Are Burning - Midnight Oil (too dirty)
             8. The Flame - Cheaptrick ( this song is one of my favorite...I just love this song but the band don't                            look like a band at all)
              9. Ghost In You - Psychedelic Furs ( they have the best new wave name among the bands. This song is one of my favorite and the only song that I can easily play on keyboeards. That is vocals included.)
              10. Pretty In Pink - Psychedelic Furs ( this band is so predictable)
              11. Bringing Home The Ashes/ Whirlpool Heart - Wild Swans ( all their songs sounds the same.)
              12. Vienna Calling - Falco (they're German and this is the only song they had done in English that I like. the other is Rock Me Amadeus which I find very weird of a song)

By the way these paintings are by my sister Jessie who is now living in Ireland.

.......end of part 1!

Artwork by Sinead

These artwork is by my only princess Sinead. She loves to paint and I am impressed by her ideas and humor of her works. At the top she calls it All Family and the other one she titled it My Sky. She also wrote a song titled Alleluia, Alleluia, Amen which I will post soon.
